Discover the Traditional Galette des Rois
The “Galette des Rois” is a traditional French pastry made of flaky puff pastry filled with a rich frangipane (almond cream) filling. The original Galette des Rois is mostly enjoyed for the Epiphany on the 6th January and throughout the month of January.
Hidden inside the galette is a small figurine called a “fève”. The person who finds it in their slice becomes the “queen” or “king” for the day, wearing a paper crown that comes with the pastry. It’s a festive, fun, and delicious tradition!
